The three day intensive workshop in developing iPhone/iPad applications is from 10 a.m.-6 p.m, a full 24 hours of training. The workshop covers the fundamentals and advanced feature of iPhone development, enough material that you should be able to develop your own iPhone/iPad application and upload it to the App Store.

DFK, Monument Music and Arts Festival, and Affinity lab have teamed up to put together an incredible lineup of artists who are donating pieces for the silent and LIVE auctions for Dreams For Kids Dream Works Benefit Art Auction. We would like to cordially invite you to our Pop Up @ U Street which will feature some of the Mid-Atlantic’s best artists and brightest young stars.

There will be live music, free food, free drinks and 20% of the proceeds will go to Dreams for Kids!

From 5:30-8:30PM at Fado's Irish Pub (808 7th St. NW), Razoo will be hosting their annual March Goodness Tournament where a select group of nonprofits will compete for grants based on fundraising through the Razoo network. In last year's competition, more than $160,000 was raised for 30 participating nonprofits that competed for nearly $20,000 in grants and prizes. The big winner in 2009 was Big Cat Rescue of Tampa, FL. Who will win this year?

The music business is a great place to train entrepreneurs. Martin has bounced from behind the drum kit (with PiL,Killing Joke, Ministry, Pigface etc) to running a record label, building a studio, starting a music publishing business, traveling to China where he recorded bands and made an award winning documentary then on to teaching and writing the book Toiur:Smart. His lectures look at treating any artistic enterprise as a business and the creative impact of very simple decisions.

Affinity Lab will be having its annual tubing trip at Harper's Ferry on July 23. Lab members and friends of lab members are welcome.

The lab will provide food, drinks, transportation, and all the other boring logistics. Now we just need the last ingredient...YOU! So mark your calendars.

Affinity Lab will be having a electronic waste pick up at the Lab on July 11. If any lab members have any waste they would like to have taken from them, please contact lab management to make arrangements.
